“After lockdown, I realised the importance of having a home studio, clinic and gym space where I could do my admin, content creation, online client meetings, and provide 1:1 online and in person clinical and PT appointments, to future proof my business. Chris came in and helped to conceptualise the new space by asking about how I worked and what I’d want to do - he found a way to open up both top bedrooms to increase floor space and was able to produce drawings so we could visualise the space and suggested ways to reduce wasted space. He completely redecorated and refurbished the space and installed power at multiple places which meant I could use the rooms flexibly depending on how I was delivering work. I needed to save money on the project so we agreed division of labour so that I could do some of the easier jobs and he could do the more skilled stuff. His consultancy on colour scheme, type of materials etc was invaluable because I hadn’t much experience of this type of planning so really had no clue - and he had an eye to longevity and budget through the process which I really appreciated as an independent small business owner. I’m so happy with the finished space - it went from
looking quite small and cluttered to more spacious and fresh and professional and I am now able to work online or in person from home as business needs dictate.

“We planned a kitchen upgrade in 2021 and wanted to do as much upfront preparation ourselves, planning new layout, ordering units and appliances etc., and stripping out old units. We needed electrical and minor plumbing works to suit new appliances, joinery to fit new units and worktop and install new appliances. We got to know Chris through his work with the "Zero Waste" shop Waste Nott in Sherwood and he fitted the bill ideally, being able to cover the various trades competently and worked with us to finalise little customised design touches. “We got in touch with Chris to help relocate our Community "Zero Waste" Shop premises in early 2021. We needed a qualified electrician to do a full rewire and upgrade. The relocation also required storage cabinets, counters and shelving to be reinstalled in the new premises with minimum delay to trading. Finding a company with both electrical and joinery was a real bonus allowing us to complete the prep and move in days to minimise the loss of trading time. Chris worked quickly and neatly, liaising well with staff that also assisted in the operation.
